The Orlando Margarita Ball is a Black Tie Optional event. This means that while a tuxedo is the traditional and preferred choice, it is not required and a dark suit with a dress shirt and tie is acceptable. For a point of reference, most gentlemen attending the Ball choose to wear tuxedos.
Gentlemen: A tie is required for admission. Gentlemen arriving without a tie will not be admitted to the Ball, and guests who remove their tie during the event may be asked to leave. No Tie… No Ball.
Open-collar shirts, casual attire, denim, jeans, shorts, sneakers, or other casual clothing are not permitted. All pants must be dress slacks. Formal military dress is encouraged for active military personnel. The dress code is strictly enforced to maintain the elegant atmosphere of the Orlando Margarita Ball.
Ladies: Formal dresses may be long or short, and elegant details such as sequins and formal embellishments are certainly appropriate. The Margarita Ball is one of those special occasions where it is difficult to be overdressed, but being underdressed is not appropriate. Guests are encouraged to view photos from previous Margarita Balls for attire inspiration.
